Overview

Most Jordan itineraries are designed for travellers who can walk all day. This one is not. Six nights spread the same headline sites across a gentler schedule, with two genuinely restful stops — the Dead Sea and the Red Sea at Aqaba — and shorter site visits with earlier starts to avoid the midday heat. Ajloun’s castle and the forested hills of the north offer a change of landscape that children respond to better than a third set of ruins. At Petra, the itinerary allows for whichever route suits the group, including the shorter options, and nobody is expected to reach the Monastery. Ramada Tours Travel Agency operates this on home ground and will tell you honestly what your children’s ages can manage.

Accommodation

Family-suitable hotel in Amman, a Dead Sea resort with pools and children’s facilities, a hotel in Wadi Musa, and a beach or near-beach hotel in Aqaba. Connecting rooms, family rooms and multi-room bookings can be requested throughout. Properties are confirmed at quotation stage, subject to verification and availability.

Flight Status: quotable_by_departure_city — Flights can be quoted according to the traveller’s departure city. Open-jaw routing (arriving Amman, departing Aqaba) removes a long final drive and is usually the better option for families.

Important Notes

Tell us the ages of every child at enquiry stage — it changes the Petra route we recommend, the camp or hotel we suggest at each stop, and whether the Wadi Rum 4x4 is appropriate. Petra involves significant walking; shorter routes and assistance options exist and are arranged in advance rather than negotiated on arrival. Dead Sea bathing is not advised for young children, with open cuts, or with certain skin or eye sensitivities, and time in the water should be limited. Jordan is hot from June to September and this route is more comfortable in spring and autumn. The Jordan Pass is not available to all nationalities and carries minimum-stay conditions — applicability is verified at quotation stage. GCC nationals should note it may not apply to them.
