Overview
Sharm El Sheikh earns its reputation on what is underwater rather than on the beach itself. The reefs at Ras Mohammed and around Tiran are genuinely world-class and reachable on a half-day boat trip, and the snorkelling is good enough that non-divers get most of the benefit. On land it is a straightforward resort destination — this journey treats it that way, with the resort as the base and two optional excursions rather than a packed schedule. It works well for families because the sea is calm and warm most of the year, and for couples because the quieter bays outside Naama offer a very different atmosphere from the main strip.

- World-class Red Sea reefs and snorkelling

Important Notes
Boat excursions depend on sea and wind conditions and are occasionally cancelled at short notice — this is normal and not a sign of a poor operator. Reef conservation rules apply throughout the marine parks and touching or standing on coral is prohibited. Sharm is very hot in high summer; the sea remains comfortable year- round, making autumn through spring the better season overall. Entry arrangements for the Sinai region differ from those for the rest of Egypt and vary significantly by nationality — these are verified by Ramada Tours Travel Agency before confirmation, and travellers intending to combine Sharm with Cairo should tell us at enquiry stage so the correct arrangement is quoted.
