Overview
Switzerland is one of the few destinations where the transport is part of the attraction — the panoramic rail routes through the Alps are worth taking for their own sake, and this journey is built around them rather than around driving. Two nights in Lucerne cover the lake and the old town, three in the Interlaken and Jungfrau area give access to the high mountain railways and the villages beneath the Eiger, and a final night near Lake Geneva changes the landscape completely. The pace is gentle and the scheduling light, because the point here is scenery and air rather than sightseeing volume. It works particularly well for multi-generational groups, since almost everything is reachable without walking far.

Important Notes
Schengen entry requirements vary by nationality and require lead time, documentation and an appointment; approval is never guaranteed — raise nationality at enquiry stage. Mountain railways and cable cars operate seasonally and close for maintenance or weather; the high-altitude excursions in particular are weather-dependent and views cannot be guaranteed, so we schedule flexibility into the itinerary rather than promising a clear day. Summer is the peak season and books early. Alpine weather changes quickly and layers are needed even in July.
